Conclusion
The Deco kit is the latest from Aspire featuring the Odan Evo Sub-ohm tank. There’s nothing too crazy going on aesthetically, it’s a compact kit that fits comfortably wherever you choose to place it.
The Deco Starter Kit offers durable construction with a zinc alloy chassis, it’s a single button firing mod. Beyond the simple display, it provides an ergonomic feel with a knurled metal grip. The pod supports multiple batteries including the 21700 and the 18650 battery with an adapter.
Let’s move onto the pros and cons. Starting with the cons, which were minimal and minute issues with the first being directed at the display screen. The Deco is equipped with a 0.87 OLED monochrome display that looks dated and boring, it’s not even in color.
Another con well maybe it will be a con in the future is the battery door. Aspire uses a specialty designed sliding door mechanism but one reviewer wasn’t convinced of its longevity. Vaper Felix Vapes had no major qualms concerning the battery door in his review, but he was curious to know if he would have to use a rubber band six months down the road to keep the door closed.
Now onto the pros, where do I begin? It’s nothing to write home about but Aspire did a fantastic job with the build quality of this device, it feels solid like it won’t tear apart mid puff or with one accidental drop. On top of that, it has an ergonomic feel. Also, there’s no rattling going on inside of the pod and the battery door serves as convenient.
Continuing, Aspire’s Deco Starter Kit spoils users with two battery options. A crowd favorite however is the 21700 battery, it supports 100W and has a nice 1.0 resistance. But users can also gain a great performance with a little less power with the 18650 battery that fires up to 80W.
Performance-wise the Odan Evo tank is the real star of the show, that 4.5mL capacity is everything, it can last you quite a while. The flavor is bangin' at 50W with the 0.3ohm pre-installed coil it’s prominent but when you get up to around 60-70W it’s a little muted.
The Deco chucks clouds, if you're a cloud chaser you’ll be thrilled. Another good point to mention is the Deco can support 26mm without overhang.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I'd give it an 8.5/10 only for the dated display and the uncertainty of the battery door. The Odan Evo tank really sells the device, and even that is just a basic tank. I'd still recommend this device for the flavor you’re going to get out of your e-liquid, battery options and the Odan series coils. It passes!
