There are a lot of people that take CBD oil to help them relieve some sort of health issue, be it physical or psychological. One of the more common ways to consume cannabidiol, is to vape. But what does this make you feel like and is it better than taking regular CBD oil drops? Let’s check out some of the more common CBD vape effects people generally experience.
First and foremost, please note that any type of CBD oil used would be considered a natural medicinal supplement, that should be used in moderation and with some amount of caution. In case you have any type of medical problem for which you are taking these substances, it is recommended to consult a medical professional first. This is very important for the safe use of this very potent product. Let’s explore the most common questions related to vaping CBD oil.
What Does It Feel Like To Vape CBD?
Vaping CBD oil is one of the quickest ways to feel the beneficial effects of cannabidiol products. It might help you with acute anxiety relief, pain reduction, increased perception and improving your overall mental state. Your individual experience might differ. Please note that vaping CBD will not get you high.
The experience of vaping CBD oil is very different from taking in regular CBD drops from a bottle. Since each individual will choose to consume cannabidiol for different reasons, the effects and benefits might also differ depending on your specific health conditions. Generally speaking, for an average person the effects could be similar to the following:
·Anxiety Relief: One of the major things vaping CBD will do for you is to give you some amount of relief when it comes to dealing with social anxiety, but it will also give some relief with many other health problems. Please remember that the effects will be temporary. Science has proven it to be true, so you better believe it.
·Less Pain: Many people suffering from chronic pain might see a good substitute in vaping CBD as opposed to taking pain medication. Often times diluting the substance for vapes is a cheaper way to relieve pain and stress from the body, while also providing a natural, organic alternative to regular pain medication.
·Better Perception: Your senses are heightened, it becomes easier to focus and you will feel less numb in case of depression or other mental problem. For people that are familiar with smoking weed or getting high some other way, the resistance to this effect would already be present, thus likely decreasing your overall sensitivity to such effects.
·Well-Rested: You’ll feel less tired and are better able to fall asleep. This is why often times, people would take a hit when waking up or before going to sleep. It provides a good way to start the day, but also a calm way to end it.
Obviously, there are much more benefits towards vaping cannabidiol. This all depends on the personal situation. For example, you might use it to reduce epilepsy, it’s an effective antipsychotic, it reduces the effects of Alzheimer’s disease, or will, for example, reduce side-effects of cancer treatment.
In the non-medical field, smokers might benefit by reducing their need for a cigarette. However, similar effects can be achieved by simply using a regular vape. The added CBD is not likely to benefit you in terms of stopping your normal smoking habits. It might however, reduce the effect of feeling uneasy when stopping smoking.
Does Vaping CBD Oil Get You High?
Vaping CBD oil does not get you high, just like taking in CBD oil drops would not cause any type of marijuana drug effect on your body. The THC, which is the active component in a regular high, is not present when vaping the concentrate.
Many people mistake THC-rich cannabis high effects with Cannabidiol, which is deprived of the working components that get you in the zone. This is understandable, because I wouldn’t expect the average person to have a chemistry degree-level knowledge of the stuff they inhale. The CBD school gave a good explanation of the working components in their Medium article, that was related to getting the munchies (i.e. getting more hungry as a result of taking CBD oil):
“Marijuana causes an increase in appetite because of its high concentration of THC. THC binds directly to the CB1 endocannabinoid receptor we all have as part of our endocannabinoid system. This activity at the CB1 receptor has the effect of increasing appetite.
CBD does not cause the same increase in appetite as THC because it does not bind directly at the CB1 receptor. While CBD isn’t likely to make you feel as hungry as you would from THC, there are some cases where CBD products could have an effect on your hunger.”
While this specific explanation focuses on the hunger-effect of THC, a similar story can be told for the working components that might get you high. These are simply not the same in Cannabidiol, which makes the odds of people getting high through CBD vaping (the kind where THC is not present) literally zero. So if you happen to have a friend that claims they got high off of this stuff, give him a good lecture about brain receptors, because he’s more than likely talking out of his ass. There, you wanted some honest answers, you just got them.
Despite the fact that you won’t achieve a ‘high’-effect, there is still a possibility that the feeling of vaping this stuff will alter your mind. Above I’ve already listed some of the more common effects of consuming this stuff. Obviously, your individual experience might be different. Some people feel nothing at all, while others have clear health benefits from it. From friends that tried this stuff, most of them have reported that they feel a little weird from it. But is this actually the case? Let’s look at it a bit more closely.
Can CBD Make You Feel Weird?
If CBD will make you feel weird, very much depends on what you yourself experience as ‘normal’. CBD can take away some of the bad edges of your personality, such as anxiety or overall restlessness. If anything vaping CBD will cause you to clear your head further and it can make you calmer overall.
The difference between CBD vaping and regular drops would be the speed at which the effects would start to happen. The vape-option would be by far the fastest way to deal with for example acute anxiety. However, you don’t want to think of it as feeling high. It’s more about taking away all the bad stuff in your mind for a bit, while still feeling completely sober.
If you’re a person that is likely to freak out, especially in social situations, taking a quick hit before joining that party of friends might actually help you come across as ‘normal’. It’s not you won’t be nervous, but the crippling anxiety part of it would be reduced. It allows you to function as a human being and take a bit of the stress out of the equation.
So in a weird way, what CBD can do for you is actually the opposite of feeling weird. It allows you to take away anxiety issues and feel relatively normal for a moment. It’s about being a functional member of society. That’s really what using this stuff is all about, and which is why I am personally a huge proponent of vaping CBD. But only if you feel like you really could benefit from it!
CBD Vape-Oil Effects On The Body
Because CBD vapes are such a new concept, the regulatory part of the products is still in its infancy. Often, the dosage is misinterpreted and sometimes THC is found in the products. Please note that the effects of CBD vapes can be different for every individual. In general, the following common effects apply:
·Vaping doesn’t last as long as orally consuming CBD oil;
·The effects on the body are quicker, however;
·There is a possibility of lung irritation in case of regular use;
·In very rare cases, poor products can lead to headache, nausea, vomiting and palpitations to dizziness, disorientation and seizures.
As such, there is clearly some level of risk involved in vaping CBD. Consumers should be aware of this fact and therefore it’s best to consult your doctor in case you wish to use these products for medical reasons. I highly suggest you only consume CBD products from reputable stores, by using this shopping guide.
In case you are looking for some good vape gear, this is (luckily) a lot more regulated and safer.
