Why Is My Vaporesso Leaking?

There’s nothing more frustrating than a leaking vape, but unfortunately it’s something we’ll all experience at some point, even with a reliable brand like Vaporesso.

In this blog, we’ll answer the question ‘Why is my Vaporesso leaking?’ and provide tips and guidance on how to fix the issue and prevent it from happening again in the future.

Why is my Vaporesso pod leaking?
There are a few reasons why your Vaporesso pod might be leaking:

1. It’s been overfilled
Putting too much e-liquid into the pod will cause it to overflow into the coil and leak out from the bottom. The fix for this is easy: just make sure you’re leaving a slight gap rather than filling the pod right to the top. To force out any excess liquid that’s gone into the coil chamber, remove the pod from the device, wrap it in some kitchen roll, and blow into the mouthpiece.

You should also check you’re squeezing your e-liquid into the right hole. The e-liquid port on Vaporesso XROS pods is located right next to the airflow hole, and the liquid will run straight through the coil and out of the bottom airflow ports if you accidentally squeeze it into the wrong one. On Vaporesso pods, the e-liquid port is the red hole.

2. The mouthpiece isn’t attached properly
Another reason your Vaporesso device could be leaking that (fortunately) is easy to fix is that the mouthpiece hasn’t been attached properly after refilling the pod. If the mouthpiece isn’t fully snapped back into place, you’ll accidentally suck the vape juice up and over into the coil chamber when you inhale.

To fix this issue, simply make sure the mouthpiece has been properly clicked back into place before you start vaping again.

3. The coil is burnt out
In some cases, a leaky pod can be a sign that the built-in coil has burnt out. When a coil is burnt out, the cotton may no longer be able to retain the e-liquid, causing it to leak out through the pod.

Vaporesso pods last between 1 to 2 weeks before the coil burns out. After this, you’ll need to replace the pod with a new one to prevent it from leaking. You might also notice other issues when the coil reaches the end of its lifespan, including a burnt taste or a discolouration of your e-liquid.

4. The pod is damaged
If you’re prone to dropping your Vaporesso pod when refilling, it could be leaking because it’s damaged or cracked. Unfortunately, there’s no fix for this other than to take more care when handling your pods in the future. You’ll need to replace the damaged pod with a new one.

How can a leaking device affect my vaping experience?
We all know that leaky vapes are a nuisance, especially when the e-liquid gets on your hands and makes a mess. However, leaks can cause a wide range of other issues that might not have crossed your mind, from minor inconveniences to more serious problems.

1.Damage to your device: When e-liquid leaks out of the pod, it can collect around the battery or other parts of the device, causing it to stop working properly.

2.Unpleasant vaping: If the airflow chamber fills with e-liquid instead of vapour, you’ll end up coughing and could accidentally inhale hot liquid, making for a very unpleasant vaping experience.

3.Less vapour: Leaks can mean there’s less space for vapour to form inside your device, so a lot less vapour will be produced when you inhale. The result? A weak vaping session that’s not very satisfying.

4.Faster coil deterioration: A leaking pod can drown the coil in too much e-liquid, causing it to wear out faster than it should. This means you’ll end up spending lots of money replacing pods and coils that in reality shouldn’t have worn out yet.

5.Safety issues: It’s not very common, but if any e-liquid leaks into the electronic parts of your vape (such as the circuit board or wires), this could be dangerous.

It’s therefore important that you fix your leaky Vaporesso device as quickly as possible and do your best to prevent leaks from occurring in the future.
